3 Signs That You Need To Replace Your Car Tires

Are you trying to figure out if you should invest in new tires for your car or not? If you feel like you are driving on a bumpy road even if the pavement is smooth, it might be a sign that you need to get new tires installed on your vehicle. Take a look at the signs of tire wear that are listed in this article so you can determine if investing in new ones is in your best interest.

1. Excessive Tread Wear

Although it is normal for tires to lose tread, you should get them replaced when tread wear is excessive. You should be able to clearly see the grooves in your tires when they are in good shape. The grooves become less noticeable as the tires lose tread, but the tires are only considered in very bad shape if all or most of the tread goes away. No tread means that your tires are bald and not good for traction when you are driving. Bald tires make it easy for your vehicle to slide, especially if it is rainy outside.

2. Objects Are Stuck in the Rubber

No matter how good your tires look, you might want to get them replaced if there are several objects stuck inside of the rubber. It is possible for a lot of objects to get stuck in tires when you travel down unclean roads. A contractor might be able to patch up tires that have objects stuck inside of them, but the ties might not be very durable. Plus, driving round with punctured tires is unsafe because it makes it easy for you to have a blowout. A blowout can lead to a bad collision and possibly cause your vehicle to rollover if you are suddenly unable to control it.

3. Cracks in the Sidewalls

You should replace the tires if they have cracked sidewalls. The cracks can lead to a blowout just like objects getting stuck in the rubber. The sidewalls of tires will usually crack when the rubber dries out. Keep in mind that dry rubber is a good sign that your tires are worn out and old. Dry tires that have cracked sidewalls can also detract from the beauty of your vehicle, so replacing them is great for your safety and adding more appeal.

If your car has any of these problems, take your car to a shop like Bob's Tire Service so the tires can get replaced as soon as you can.
